Group

The Berkeley Count ARES Group, provides amateur radio support to the Berkeley County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and operates a permanent station with HF and 2 meter capabilities, at the county facility at 802 Emmett Rousch Dr., in Martinsburg WV.

Operators are also provided to City Hospital, which also has a permanent station, The Berkeley County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and several local civic organizations.

The group has been activated during Hurricane Isabel, the Darkesville tornado, and several county  and state drills.
